Battle of the Books
Sponsor: Ms. Greenfield
Battle of the Books is an team reading competition. Students form teams of 3-4 students to "battle" against other student teams within the school and then at the county level. Each team is given the same list of 12 books in late January to read. The school battle will be eight weeks from that date with the county battle the following week. Each battle consists of questions with events from the books. The teams reply with the title of that book. Think Family Feud or Trivia Bowl competitions. The team members split up the task of reading the books so each person is responsible for 3-4 titles.
Meeting Dates: This club meets for 9-10 weeks starting January 29th. Teams meet during homeroom and WYN. All the reading is done on your time. There is no cost to be a member.

You will need to be comfortable in front of a camera and able to speak clearly to people you don't know for interviews. Think Entertainment Tonight or "TMZ". This is your chance to shine as a special news reporter. We will meet one hour after school with some meetings during WYN.

Wyld Life
Sponsor: Ms. Catrow & Mr. Hutchinson
Wyld Life is a fun club where students will have free snacks, play games, build real relationships, & hear a short gospel message. We love middle school kids! They are full of life and yet experiencing profound emotional and physical changes. Middle school is a time when kids make important decisions about who they are and what they believe. Wyld Life leaders seek to model and express God’s love to our young friends by learning their names, hearing their stories, and honoring their God-given desire for a life of fun, adventure, and purpose. Our mission is to introduce middle school kids to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. They were made for this!
